OSINT SUMMARY
Military reports from Somalia indicate that the government forces (SNA) launched a major attack on a base belonging to the Al Qaeda affiliated Al-Shabaab militants in Bay region, south Somalia.
According to Burhakabo district commissioner Mohamed Abdi Mohamed, SNA forces raided the Al-Shabaab base near Bur Eyle village where Al-Shabaab fighters were hatching a plot to conduct assaults against SNA and AMISOM forces.
Mohamed confirmed that security of the rural villages near Burhakabo town in Bay region has been heightened.
