SNA and Ethiopian troops reportedly carried out a military operation in different localities in Hiiraan province.
The operation was a military drill in preparing in preparation of a fresh offensive against the Al Qaeda affiliated Al-Shabaab in the remaining pockets in Somali’s central region.
In recent past weeks Ethiopian troops which is part of AMISOM conducted successful counter attack on Al-Shabaab militants who were trying to breach entry and attack their military base killing scores.
Successful operations that have seen Al-Shabaab being pushed out of key villages west of Beledweyne city, the headquarters of Hiiraan region have been reported.
The intention of the military drill is to ensure the soldiers are ready for the actual counter aimed at pacifying the remaining areas in Hiiraan as argued by Yarow Abiikar, who is in charge of El-Ali vicinity.
