The Al-Qaeda affiliate in Somalia, Harakat Al-Shabaab Mujahideen movement (HSM) has issued a statement confirming the death of it's top commander and Juba region Wali Muhamed Kuno Dulyadeen aka Gamadheere.
Kuno was killed during an operation conducted by Juba-Land forces with military advise from the Kenya Defense Forces (KDF).
Muhamed Dulyadeen was the mastermind of the Garissa University attack in Kenya that left 147 students dead.
The death of Dulyadeen is a significant setback to the terror group. He was pivotal in recruiting Kenyans into the terror group besides, playing a key role as a representative of Kenyan-Somali clans in Harakat Al-Shabaab Mujahideen movement
