Somali government forces (SNA) on Sunday conducted a security swoop in outskirts of Baladweyn town in an effort to flush out Al-Shabaab elements.
Following intelligence leads, Somali government forces security sweep targeted Al-Shabaab militants who according to the intelligence provided are hiding in the outskirts of Baladweyn town which serves as the headquarters of Hiiraan region of central Somalia.
According to SNA sources, the raid was successful with undisclosed number of Al-Shabaab suspects being caught in the operation.
Small arms, IEDs making materials and jihadist materials, flags were also recovered.
