SNA and AMISOM troops launched a counter-operations against Al-Shabaab in port town of Kismayo.
Corresponding reports by locals and referenced by Somalia open sources, SNA and AMISOM troops continues to make gains against the Islamist Al-Shabaab terrorists. The joint military operation is aimed at liberating and opening key routes in the region.
The troops also composed of bomb experts defusing planted IEDs along military supplies routes in the region.
The operation which is relying on human intelligence from the locals has seen several militant pockets cracked and subsequently capturing several terror operatives. Materials used to make bombs, small arms, and militant’s flags recovered.
