A senior Al-Shabaab terrorist identified as Ibrahim Aden Ibrahim on Monday 29th August 2016 evening surrendered to National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA).
According to a report by Somalia National News Agency (SONNA) the militant commander handed himself to the NISA officers following recent call by Somali’s President giving the terrorists another chance to surrender (amnesty).
Minister of Internal Security of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Abdirisak Omar Mohamed described the move of laying down the terrorist arms down and crossing over to the government and people as a wise move.
Somali government welcomed Ibrahim Aden decision to denounce the terror group and looking forward to working together in making sure the militant group terrorizing its own people of Somalia is completely neutralized.
Internal security minister called on others in the terrorist camp to denounce the group before it’s too late saying there is a still chance to decide, and denounce the dangerous ideology and accept peace and amnesty offered by the government.
