Ethiopia is calling for more sanctions on Eritrea on allegations that the country has links to the outlawed al Shabaab.
The accusation comes amid protests by Eritreans all over the world who are demanding that Ethiopia recognizes the boundary between the two warring countries.
The two Africa’s poorest countries plunged into war in 2002, when International commission established a boundary which Ethiopia refused to recognize. Eritrea waged a war of independence against Ethiopia which costed the both countries a lot of resources that achieved no positive end. Ethiopia did not grant Eritrea her freedom.
Ethiopia feels it does not have to recognize the border since it is under the protection of the united states in case of any war.
Eritrea on the other hand is on Washington’s blacklist as the US claims that Eritrea is arming and financing the al Qaeda-like al Shabaab that is based in Somalia.
Analysts claim that the sanctions could be the final step that could plunge the small nation into war with the US backed Ethiopia.

Eritrea is not going to war with Ethiopia concerning the boarder issue. The boarder issue was finalized by the EEBC 13 years ago. Eritrea is asking the withdrawal of Ethiopian forces from Ertirean territory including the town of Badme. The support of US for Ethiopia is not new or surprise to Eritrea because we have fought for independent with both supper powers. If you need to know everything about Eritrea please visit Eritrea. However, the regime in Ethiopia is under intensive pressure from Ethiopian opposition and people stands against the regime ethnic based apartheid rule minority against the majority of Ethiopian. No matter how much Washington supports the Ethiopian minority regime, Ethiopia will engulf with ethnic war may be worse than the one in Rwanda or Somalia. I would like to advice the Washington regime to prepare for the worst in Ethiopia. The sanction was mainly designed to weaken Eritrea but ERITREA shining in all diminutions and we have witness in the last two years EU decided to change it’s policy against ERITREA. If Washington thinks Ethiopia will keep its interest and influence in the Horn of AFRICA, I think time will show the out come. But Eritrea and Eritrea will fight against all odds.
