Puntland Security Forces (PSF) launched an intensified counter-terror operation against Al-Shabaab militants in Bosaso.
According to an army source, hundreds of armed forces were deployed on the streets of Bosaso port town on Sunday.
The operation involved thorough security search from the public vehicles, the army source added.
On Saturday, PSF killed 18 Al-Shabaab militants in a raid conducted in a successful operation conducted in Al-Madow Mountains.
The operation comes less than a week after two security officers were killed in grenade attack in Bosaso, claimed by Al-Shabaab militants.
