The president of Kenya, President Uhuru Kenyatta is set to address the nation this afternoon.
The president has vowed to ensure security for the country though terrorism poses a great challenge to his young regime.
However there seems to be a failure by security services to stop the spiraling attacks.
Al-Shabaab killed 37 quarry workers at around 2am 2/12/2014
The group has claimed responsibility of the attack.
Most of the quarry workers are from Chaka village in Nyeri.
The quarry was a few kilometers from Mandera military camp and a kilometer from border with Somalia
National Intelligence Service claims it had passed actionable intelligence to authorities on the impending attack.
Kenyans are angry about the deteriorating state of security and increasing terrorism.
The Mandera attack comes barely 10 days after another that claimed 28 christian travellers
