On Saturday Moroccan police arrested a new supporter of the Islamic State (IS) in scale-up operations.
The arrested terrorist was active in the city of Meknes located some 150 kilometers east of Rabat and was plotting to carry out terrorist attacks in Morocco or in a European country, Interior Ministry said in a statement.
Initial investigations show an indicator that the arrested man adherence to the terrorist strategy of the Islamic State extremist organization.
He had acquired expertise in manufacturing explosive devices (IEDs) and was training in a mountainous region to sharpen his fighting skills.
The terror suspect will be brought before justice after the end of the investigation led by the prosecutor's office, the statement said.
