Six people died early Monday when fighting between Ahmed Madobe troops and government troops in Beledhawa and Dolow broke.
Beledhawa, is a town in Gedo, Southwestern Somalia on the Somalia-Kenyan border, an area largely known as the Juba lands which has an administration headed by Ahmed Madobe.
Madobe was involved in with Kenya Defense Forces assault of key Al-Shabaab strongholds and the subsequent defeat of Al-Shabaab in the entire Juba region.
Heavy fighting broke Monday morning between troops of Gedo regional administration which is a central government directorate and soldiers loyal to the Kismayo-based interim administration of Jubba led by Ahmed Madobe.
Hundreds of residents have been crossing to Kenya to escape the war in the border regions.
