Malian army is now operating undisclosed number of the Paramount Marauder Mine Resistant and Ambush Protected Vehicles (MRAPs).
At least four Paramount Marauder vehicles were seen during the country’s 59th-anniversary parade held at the Kati military camp.
The MRAPs which were participating in the parade were all fitted with a 14.5 mm gun turret. In 2019, Mali bought 19 armored vehicles from South Africa for R55 million.
Mali’s army also acquired 24 Storm 4×4 Armored Personnel Carrier from Qatar in 2019, while in October 2019, Germany donated 29 Casspir Armored vehicles to Mali.

United Arab Emirates (UAE) also donated 30 Typhoon MRAPs, and Cougar 4×4 Armored Personnel Carriers to Mali.
Currently Mali is engulfed in deadly extremists’ wars and these MRAPs are greatly helping the army in counter-insurgency operations.
