Landmine Explosion Target Somali Government Troops in Mogadishu

Landmine explosion on Tuesday 14^th April 2020 targeted Somali government troop’s vehicle at Karan district in Banadir region, Mogadishu.

Local sources in Somali reports that at least four civilians were injured in the midday explosion.

The Al-Qaeda affiliated Al-Shabaab continue to record sporadic attacks from across Somalia regions but Mogadishu has recorded more attacks as compared to other regions.

In the past ten days, Al-Shabaab has claimed more than ten attacks targeting both SNA and AMISOM. In these attacks, IED, car bombs and Landmines remains Al-Shabaab preferred attack types.
