Kenya’s North Eastern Leaders Urge Residents To Cooperate With Security Agencies In Fighting Al Shabaab

Leaders in Kenya’s North Eastern region have urged their constituents to work with the security agencies deployed in the region to fight terrorism. The leaders led by the Abdi Ibrahim of Lafey and Mandera East legislator Omar Mohammed Maalim urged residents to volunteer information and help the security agencies in the area.

The leaders said the residents need to closely cooperate with security agencies in their efforts in fighting Al-Shabaab and their sympathizers. The residents have been urged to report any suspicious operations and people moving within the area.

Al Shabaab has been increasing its presence ant attacks in the northern region which has led to the deployment of different security agencies.
