Kenyan journalist and blogger Yassin Juma was on Saturday night arrested by Anti-Terror Police Unit (ATPU).
This is after the he blogged about the Al-Shabaab attack on KDF El Adde base that took place on Friday 15th January 2016.
The blogger posted photos of the El Adde attack in Somalia on his blog as well on social media accounts.
After the attack, Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery warned public strictly against sharing of images from the attack on the KDF camp saying anyone who will be caught will face the full force of the law.
Anti-Terror Police Unit had trailed the blogger for three days before he was arrested at his house in Donholm estate on Saturday 23rd January 2016.
The assailant was interrogated by officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters detained at Muthaiga police station over the weekend; then Monday 25th January 2016 he was taken to Kiambu court to be charged with “misuse of communication gadgets”.
According to Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet three other people are being sought over the same offence.
