Intelligence sources on Tuesday 16th June reported that the Kenya security forces foiled a plan by a group of 30 members of the Al Shabaab terror group to carry out an attack in Kenya.
This came shortly after the Kenya Defense Forces killed 11 members of the terror group.
Kenya Defense Forces on Monday 15th June 2015 conducted an operation deep inside Dodori national reserve in Lamu County in Kenya and killed 7 militants from the Somali based Islamist group Al Shabaab . Many who managed to escape went away with serious injuries and the Kenya security forces is narrowing down on them.
Kenyan intelligence forces have foreseen Al Shabaab militants planning to increase attacks during the Holy month of Ramadan following the increased Al Shabaab terror threats.
The Kenya security forces have however assured the Muslim religious adequate security as they observe the holy month.
