Francis Macharia Karishu, a suspect who is believed to be facilitating al Shabaab activities was arrested on Sunday evening in Kayole estate.
This arrest came only two days after police placed a Ksh1 million bounty on his head.
Security agencies have warned the public that al Shabaab is planning attacks to be carried out during the month of Ramadhan.
Another suspect, Anthony Munyasya alias Abdalla, is highly sort after by the police. He is “armed and dangerous” and is “highly trained”. He has been fighting with alshabaab since 2014.
Police suspect that he is based in Kitui and is planning attacks on Kenyan citizens during Ramadhan.
