Harakat al-Shabaab al-Mujahideen militants and their affiliates and sympathizers are likely to continue to stage attacks in the coming week, new intelligence reports show.
Strategic Intelligence warns that civillians working for non-governmental organizations in Kenya’s northeast is targets of attacks planned for the North Eastern region.
Attacks will be staged on eves of holidays and during holidays. 12th of December is slated as a day for causing mass casualties around the capital Mombasa.
Intelligence also warns of terror cells aided by poachers have been conducting surveillance on various leisure facilities in the Maasai Mara game reserves and the resort town of Naivasha where many holiday makers have opted.
