Al Qaeda affiliate in Somalia, Harakat al Shabaab al-Mujahedeen (HSM) detonated 2 RCVBIED outside Dohbley area targeting Kenya Defence Forces. The explosives hit the convoy of KDF troops who were out on patrol in the area.
The vehicle was destroyed but then there were no serious injuries reported on the KDF forces. KDF troops pursued the al Shabaab militants killing several of them in the area and arresting several sympathizers in the area.
AMISOM troops have intensified their campaigns and security operation ins different parts of Somalia to ensure that the fight against the al Shabaab is won ahead on an anticipated exit of the troops from Somalia.
