Event; Kenya’s Directorate of Military Intelligence reports show that Somali Islamists group Harakat al-Shabaab al-Mujahideen militants ambushed Kenyan troops in Liboi near the Kenya-Somalia border.
The attack was however preempted by the Kenya defense forces units operating along the border.
The militants issued a statement. BDA Reports report an armored personnel carrier belonging to the Kenya Defense forces lost its wheel but there was no causalities.

Al-Shabaa has scaled up propaganda operations in a bid to repose confidence in prospective foreign fighters.
The group seeks to use social networks and blogs to spread information intended to create a public policy that the Shabaab is making inroads.
