Somali intelligence sources reports that Kenya foreign ministry gave an official apology to Somalia over the arrest of a top diplomat in Nairobi.
According to the Somali ambassador to Kenya, Mohamed Ali Nur, Kenya has officially apologized to Somali government following unlawful arrest of top Somali diplomat in Nairobi in April 2014.
Nur told the Somali cabinet that his office received an apology from Nairobi. Ambassador Nur is still in Mogadishu after he was recalled by the government of Somalia to be debriefed about the Mogadishu-Nairobi diplomatic spat.
A senior consular official was arrested in Nairobi prompting the recalling of the top diplomats from Nairobi. The foreign office in Mogadishu have claimed that they are satisfied with the apology.
