KDF with troops from the Ras Kamboni brigade and the TFG are to attack Afmadow town of lower Juba.
Intelligence reports from Afmadow show that Al-Shabaab are digging trenches outside the town to defend the town while large numbers of fighters are deserting the town sielntly.
KDF special units may have struck the communications center of the Al-Shabaab cutting off the town from any form of communication though Al-Shabaab claim they cutoff the communication systems as a precautionary measure.
The town is with few Al-Shabaab fighters and could be attacked anytime.
KDF equipment and camp is only 20 kilometers away from the strategic town.
