Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) bomb experts have successfully defused and Improvised Explosive Device (IED) that was targeted at their convoy at Beles Qoqani.
The IED was planted by along the road and Al-Shabaab is believed to be behind the act.
KDF bomb experts carefully dug up and defused the IED preempting the threat on their convoy.
Al-Shabaab is known to plant IEDs on roads that are commonly used by SNA and AMISOM troops in Somalia.
