On Monday 24th September 2018 at around 0645hrs Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) on an intelligence tip-off conducted a ground offensive targeting an Al-Shabaab encampment in general area of Taksile, North of Pandanguo
Following the dawn raid, KDF killed at least ten (10) Al-Shabaab terrorists and recovered seven (7) AK47 rifles and various ammunition.
KDF army soldiers still pursuing a number of Al-Shabaab terrorists who reportedly fled some nursing gun injuries. Also, three KDF officers sustained injuries from the morning raid and were swiftly taken to hospital for medical care.
Locals urged to share intelligence/information with security officials in the area as the fleeing and injured terror operatives may seek help from them.
