Njenga Karume has finally died of cancer.
At the age of 83, Karume who was born in 1929 died at the Karen Hospital Nairobi where he was undergoing treatment for cancer.
Njenga Karume died at 1am 25th of February 2012.
President sent a message of condolence describing Karume as a good friend, an ambitious businessman, and a good politician who put the interests of Kenyans as priority.
Former minister and MP for Kiambaa Njenga Karume died on Friday February 24th of 2012.
Rumors had swept media houses mid February confirming that the old man and close confidant of President Kibaki had died but Karume was caught on camera talking to well wishers in his house.
