One terrorist is dead and 27 passengers bound for Kampala in serious condition at Kenyatta National Hospital, Kenya after a bomb detonated incidentally.
The bus explosion in Nairobi took place at around 7.45 pm 1945hrs EAT
A bomb inside a duffel bag detonated upon being thrown on the ground by a suspected terrorist.
Two suspects fled downtown after the explosion that shattered the door and the Kampala bound bus windows.
About 27 people are critically wounded and admitted in hospital after sustaining injuries from the explosions.
The Bus explosion incident happened in the evening in Nairobi’s River Road where the Kampala Bus Company has a booking office.
The Kampala bus company management claimed that it could be sabotage due to competition but intelligence sources point out it is the work of terrorists.
Uganda had early today warned of terror attacks and these terrorist could have been bound for Kampala.
Uganda is under Al-Qaeda backed Somali Al-shabab who have threatened to attack the country for sending peacekeepers in Mogadishu
