Jubbaland state forces ambushed Al-Shabaab combatants at Wirkoy location, outskirt of Kisayo town. Following on intelligence, the forces raided on the terrorists positions killing16 Al-Qaeda affiliated Al-Shabaab.
Corresponding reports from locals confirm of the raid saying heavy gunfire could be heard around the location.
The raid also saw several combatants wound and cache of weapons recovered.
