British National Jermaine Grant has been jailed for 9 years by a Mombasa court for 9 counts of forgery.
Jermain Grant, a suspected member of the Al-Qaeda branch in Somalia, Harakat al-Shabaab al-Mujahideen terrorists and an associate of female terrorist Samantha Lewthwaite, also a Briton was found guilty of 9 counts of forgery including attempting to forge a birth certificate.
The terror suspect has been serving a jail term at the Shimo La Tewa prison in Mombasa County of Kenya.
Al-Shabaab affiliate in Kenya and Tanzania in June 2015 attempted to rescue a terror suspect who was bieng ferried to court from the prison.
Al-Muhajiroun is associated with British terror suspects and is headed by Abu Izzadeen, now wanted by Kenya and Tanzanian counter-terrorism operatives.
Intelligence reports show Al-Muhajiroun cell is located in Mahenge area in Tanzania. It has been involved in attacks in Tanzania.
The jailing of Jermaine Grant is a blow to both Al-Hijra and Al-Muhajiroun terror groups.
