The Somali National Army (SNA) encountered fighters from the Al-Qaeda branch in Somalia, Harakat Shabaab Mujahideen in Qoryooley District in Lower shabelle Province of South Somalia.
Intelligence reports show fierce fighting was reported at around 11.00hrs EAT. The SNA backed by AMISOM- (UPDF Contigent) have intesified counter attacks against the terror group fighters.
Qoryooley in AMISOM Ops SECTOR-1 is very near Janaale, where Shabaab Mujahdeen fighters attacked an AMISOM base.
