20th November 2015, a terror cell linked to Daesh/Islamic State Takfiri terrorists was busted in western Iran the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).
Early this week, the spokesman for the IRGC in Kermanshah Province said that members linked to the Daesh terror group were arrested in a joint operation between Iran forces and the Intelligence Service.
The western part of Iran especially the province of Kermanshah that neighbors Iraq is where Daesh controls some parts far from the Iranian border in the west and north of the Arab country.
The arrested individuals were heavily armed with guns and bandoleers, IRGC spokesman added.
According to IRGC chief commander in Kermanshah, numerous terror cells working for Daesh Takfiri group have been busted over the past two years.
The busted cells have been actively involved in recruiting and organizing militants for Daesh “outside Iran.”
Separately another Daesh linked terrorist cell has been busted in Kuwait.
According to Kuwait authorities, the extremist cell was involved in sending funds and arms to Daesh Takfiri group.
Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported on Thursday 19th November 2015, that at least six people of different nationalities; Egyptian, a Kuwaiti, Lebanese and three Syrians were arrested.
The Lebanese citizen identified as Osama Khayat, is said to be the ringleader confessed that the cell was responsible of recruiting, raising funds and transferring it to Daesh bank accounts in Turkey.
The group also supplied weapons through Turkey to top Islamic State militant’s operating in Syria.
