18th November 2015, the investigations revolving the puzzle on what brought down the Russian jet in Sinai have been concluded.
According to Russian officials, the investigations point that an improvised explosive device (IED) was used to bring down the Metrojet Flight 9268 in the Sinai on October 31.
The experts report indicate, a homemade explosive device (IED) equivalent to one kilogram of TNT went off onboard enplaning what caused the plane to break up in the air and why the fuselage was scattered over such a large territory.
The officials who had a meeting with Russian president Vladimir Putin in Kremlin released transcript of the meeting online indicating terrorist were responsible Russian airline crash in the Sinai claiming all 224 passengers and crew members on board.
The investigators were nationals from US, France and the UK. Though western counterterrorism and intelligence officials have not given a concrete explanation on what transpired, terrorist involvement was suspect.
Hours later after the crash, the Islamic State Sinai province rushed to claim responsibility. The Islamic State affiliated group has previously claimed responsibility of terror attacks in the restive Sinai Peninsula.
Russia which has vowed to do everything possible to punish the terrorist responsible has placed a bounty reward offer of $50 million for valuable information that help capture the terrorists’ responsible.
