France police arrested a man they say was in the advanced stages of a plot to attack the country.
According to French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve, the suspect was arrested Thursday in the Argenteuil neighborhood northwest of Paris.
Police cordoned off the area and bomb squad arrived immediately were called to analyze some materials believed the suspect was to use to make IEDs.
However, Cazeneuve said there was no tangible evidence linking the suspect to either the attacks in Paris or Brussels.
Since November 13 attacks in Paris that left 130 people killed and over a hundred others injured, France has heightened its security.
Cazeneuve said there have been 75 arrests since the beginning of the 2016, and 28 suspects have been jailed.
