Latest reports from Somalia indicate that Somali forces launched a major offensive against the Al-Qaeda (AQ) linked Al-Shabaab fighters in Galgadud region in central Somalia on Tuesday evening.
Corresponding reports from locals indicate that SNA troops raided an Al-Shabaab makeshift camp in the Adado town. The forces received air support from foreign warplanes destroying the militants’ camp and number of weaponry, including two technicals. Unconfirmed number of militants killed in the latest Galgadud offensive.
Kenyan troops (KDF) and the US usually provide the air support for Somali Forces as well as other troops serving under AMISOM.
