Unknown gun assassinated a South West State regional Member of Parliament was on Tuesday evening in the Somalia capital Mogadishu.
The woman lawmaker named Ruqiya Abshir Noor was shot outside her home in Shibis district, authorities have confirmed.
She was rushed to Medina Hospital but later succumbed to her injuries. Noor is the second regional lawmaker to be killed this month.
Hirshabelle MP Abdi Farah, South West State Minister Abdirahman Abdiqadir and two bodyguards and a driver were killed in an IED bombing On 7 March near Afgoye.
The Al-Qaeda (AQ) linked Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility of IED bombing.
