Monday night 20/2/2017, police gunned down five suspected criminals in separate robbery incidents in Nairobi.
A five-year old boy was caught up in the shootout was injured at Kamukunji and rushed to a Nairobi hospital.
Separately, another robber was felled in Dandora estate after he attempted to steal from residents.
Same night in Umoja, police downed another armed gangster who had stormed into a fast food kiosk. A pistol was recovered by AP officers on patrol who responded to a distress call by an attendant the thug shot.
Another mugger at Buruburu shopping centre was shot dead and a homemade gun recovered from him. The incident happened at around 9 pm.
In Waiyaki Way Nairobi, an armed thug was shot dead near Nairobi School after he defied police orders to surrender.
From that incident police recovered five guns from the slain suspect.
Last week, police gunned down 10 suspected robbers following a new wave of killings.
