Fighter jets carry out an airstrike against Al-Shabaab training camp in Jilib town, a major stronghold of the Al-Qaeda allied militant group, about 380 kilometers south of Mogadishu.
Intelligence reports show 2 main commanders of the terror group have been killed.
Over 40 Militants so far confirmed dead based on satellite imagery.
The only Airforce able to scramble, deploy, and conduct precision sorties in Somalia is Kenya Defence Forces (KDF).
KDF has been sending scouting parties and surveillance resources to Jiliib, the last fortress of the terror group. Jiliib is where the Shura council and the terror group commanders operate from.
The Kenyan forces has consistently held ground in Southern Somalia forcing the Al-Qaeda linked militants to retreat further deep into the Central areas.
Jiliib is the headquarter for the HSM and if it defeated, Al-Shabaab will be done for keeps.
