Israeli on Tuesday confirmed that it indeed struck an illegal weapons depot situated in Libya after Egypt allowed its forces to use the Egyptian airspace during the destruction.
The unidentified jet which was previously believed to be Israeli destroyed warehouses in southern parts of Libya holding weapons bought by Iran for Hamas.
The destroyed weapons had allegedly been acquired by Iran through dealers in Sudan and Chad. They were then to be smuggled to Hamas through Egypt via Sinai and Gaza tunnels.
This was however cut short following the Israeli airstrike which destroyed the weapons and the warehouses in which the weapons were being hidden.
