Ethiopia Defense Forces troops in Somalia operate under AMISOM Command, the African Union Mission to Somalia (AMISOM), a peace keeping mission operated by the AU in Somalia with approval by the UN.
According to Col Areyte Mohamed, a military commander of the Djibouti troops in Hiraan region, the ENDF work under the AMISOM command.
The colonel reiterated that joint operations between the Djibouti army, Somali National Army, and the Ethipian defense forces continue though heavy rains in the Hiraan region has hindered some of these counter terrorism operations.
There has been allegations that the Ethiopian army recieves orders from their headqauters in Addis-Ababba Ethiopia.
