At least 25 civilians have been killed and scores injured after a powerful car bomb explosion hit a busy market in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
Car laden with explosive struck a vegetable market located in the northern neighbourhood of Rashidiyah which was crowded with people when it came under attack on Tuesday morning.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the gruesome attack but such attacks are blamed on Daesh Takfiris who have increased attacks in the past few weeks.
Baghdad has seen a dramatic rise in such terror attacks over the past weeks, most of them claimed by the Takfiri Daesh terror group.
Daesh recently claimed the deadliest attack that claimed nearly 300 after a bomber detonated an explosives-rigged vehicle at a shopping district in the Iraqi capital’s Karrada neighborhood on July 3.
