Three civilians perished and others wounded when a car bomb exploded near a police station in Turkey’s eastern province of Van.
Reports indicate that the car bomb targeted a nearby police station.
The Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) a listed terrorist organization by Turkey, U.S. and EU is presumed to be behind the attack.
Security forces sealed off the scene as evacuation and those injured were helped into ambulances and rushed to hospitals.
Turkish state broadcaster TRT noted that the targeted police station also served as a police barracks.
No one/group immediately claimed responsibility for the explosion.
However, Kurdish insurgents severally have targeted police stations with car bombs in the past.
