Car Bomb Explosion at Entrance of Wehliye Hotel in Mogadishu, Five Killed

Monday 13/3/2017 At least five people have been killed in a car bomb that exploded at the entrance of Wehliye Hotel in Mogadishu.

Wehliye Hotel is located just a few metres from Dayah hotel which on January was attacked by Al-Shabaab killing at least 28 people.

Among the victims of Wehliye Hotel explosion included the bodyguards of the Somalia’s Minister of Fisheries.  

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack but such heinous attacks on soft targets are works of Al-Shabaab terrorists.  

Corresponding local reports indicate that the explosion targeted the entrance of Weheliye hotel also a popular joint with government officials.
