Summary
It has come to expert revelation on Monday 2nd November 2015 that the machines released by Boko Haram militants in Nigeria, to show off the group’s technical know-how, were actually never manufactured by the militants.
Islamist militant group Boko Haram on Monday released photos apparently showing a rocket-making factory in north-eastern Nigeria, raising upheaval about the militants’ capability to manufacture rockets.
The photos are believed to have been taken in a college in Borno state. An inscription on one of the machines shows the abbreviation of Government Technical College Bama (GTCB).
The likelihood that the militants seized the donated machines to show off false capabilities is high.
Boko Haram militant group in Nigeria is on the brink of defeat as they have lost ground in the country’s north-eastern region to the country’s troops.
There is also a combined regional mission made of troops from the countries neighbours to thwart the militant group’s spill over.
