Latest military reports from Somalia indicate that the Al Qaeda affiliated Al-Shabaab suffered yet another blow after several group’s fighters were killed on Thursday 18th February 2016 in a clash with AMISOM forces in Burhakabo locality, Bay region.
Conforming the incident, Burhakabo district commissioner Ali Hassan Abdi told media that Ethiopian troops, a component of AMISOM ambushed an Al-Shabaab camp and killed several fighter.
The clash lasted for several hours in the militant’s camp located about 10 kilometers from Burhakabo town.
Burhakabo still harbours Al-Shabaab militants with South West State forces, Somali National Army and AMISOM engaging in regular fights with the fighters from the extremist group.
