Al-Shabaab released a statement Tuesday claiming responsibility of the assassination of two Somali members of Parliament.
MP Mohammed Riino was killed in a car bomb on Monday while another MP was killed on Tuesday in Dharkenley in Mogadishu.
Terrorists with assualt riffles opened fire on Tuesday at the MP at Dharkenley while Mohamed Riino was killed in Hamarweyne district after his car was blown up by an IED laced on it.
According to Al-Shabaab, they killed the two members of parliament since the two have been passing anti Islamic laws besides passing into law a bill that commissioned the deployment of AMISOM to Somalia.
The killings have been condemned by both local and international leaders.
The killings have also forced UN staff and diplomatic community which has set up offices in Mogadishu to rethink their stay in the war torn East African country.
