The Somali parliament has come out strongly against NISA, the Somalia equivalent of NIS Kenya.
The Somalia National Intelligence Service NISA is not collecting enough intelligence on the activities and plans of the terror group Al-Shabaab.
This lack of commitment to conduct thorough audit on the terror activities and predicting their plans is putting the lives of both members of parliament and diplomats working in Somalia in grave danger.
National Intelligence & Security Agency NISA failed to identify threats on the lives of two slain parliamentarians, Mohamed Isak Rino who was killed in a car bomb, and his colleague Abdiaziz Isak Mursal who was shot dead by gunmen.
Somalia legislators are now terming the intelligence service as incompetent since it cannot identify and neutralize threats on both the country and the citizens.
