Al Shabaab Militants Attack on a Police Station Repulsed by the Officers

• Police officers repulse Al Shabaab after militants raided their station in Baladweyne.
• On the night of 9^th August 2015, Al Shabaab raided central police station in in Baladweyne, headquarters of Hiiraan region.
• Confirming the incident, Mohamed Nur lidey, a senior police in the station said the militant raided the police station from different directions.
• The officers managed to repulse them and killed one militant in the shootout, no police was injured.
• Though the militant have not commented on the attack, in the last few days the government forces backed by AMISOM troops have made significant gains against the Al Shabaab militants in the outskirts of the town of Baladweyne.
