Al Shabaab has suffered major losses after an attempted ambush on a military base in Teed town located 30 kilometers North West of Hudur district in Bakool region. The combatants were engaged in a fierce gun battle with government soldiers where close to a dozen terrorists were killed.
Al Shabaab which thrives in propaganda claimed killed many SNA soldiers in an exaggerated report claiming the attack but has been refuted by government sources putting the number at four gallant soldiers.
The fighters have intensified the attacks and ambushes against government forces since the start of the month of Ramadan. However, most of the attacks have been actively averted with minimum casualties on the government side.
