Egypt’s security forces killed four militants in the northern coastal city of Arish in Sinai during a raidon Monday.
The official statement from the forces said the militants were hiding in a construction site in Arish when the raid happened.
Further, the security forces found ammunition and automatic weapons at the scene which they seized immediately.
For many years, Egypt has fought militants in the tempestuous region of Sinai killing thousands of militants.
Egypt security forces have also built a buffer zone along the border with Gaza to prevent the flow of militants and weapons through the massive tunnel network.
