A statement by the army spokesman in the Northern Region of Nasratullah Jamshida on Sunday said that at least 13 ISIS combatants were killed when Afghan government forces aircrafts attacked the hideout of Islamic State (ISIS) group in Darzab district of Northen Jawzjan province on Saturday.
Acting upon intelligence report, the government forces’ war planes struck the hideout of ISIS commander Qari Hekmatullah in Chakan area of Darzab district Saturday afternoon, killing 13 combatants on the spot.
Two of those killed in the strikes were foreigners whose nationalities has not yet been identified.
The government forces warplanes will continue pounding on ISIS hideouts in Darzab district, the official asserted.
Humiliated militia ragtag is yet to comment on the strike.
