- Wednesday 5, August 2015, the interim Jubba Administration leader Ahmed Mohamed Islam (Ahmed Madobe) arrives in the southwestern town of Dolow in Gedo region.
- It is his first visit to the region since he assumed office in 2013.
- The Interim Jubba Administration (IJA) president is accompanied by several of his administration officials and also traditional elders.
- He received a warm welcome from the local administration as well as residents.
Ahmed Mohamed Islam (Ahmed Madobe) visit to Dolow town in Gedo region is significant when the country is faced by terrorist threats.
During his stay in the town, the IJA leader is expected to meet with politicians and elders from the region.
Security discussion is expected to be among the top agenda. Consultations on how to strengthen security and formation of an administration for the town is also expected to feature in his talks.
His visit comes two weeks after Al-Shabaab’s major stronghold in the region; Bardeere town was captured by the African Union troops (AMISOM) in the country.
